He was a Romanian painter, representative for the social realism.
Between 1942-1947, he studied at the Academy of beautiful arts from Bucharest, having as teacher at the painting department the famous Jean Al. Steriadi.
He made his first appearance in 1953, exposing at the Official Saloon, next he regularly participated at the official exhibitions (republican and municipal) same as to various group exhibitions in the country and abroad, on all continents.
In 1962, he represents Romania at Venice Biennale. In 1963, he is chosen secretary of the Plastic Arts Union, and in 1968 he is chosen as President for the same authority.
From 1969, he develops didactic activity at the pedagogic Institute from Bucharest and after at the art Institute „N. Grigorescu".
