Painter.
Born an 2nd March 1929, village Gureni, township Peştişani, county Gorj.
He graduate the Institut of Fine Arts “Nicolae Grigorescu”, Bucharest (1950-1956), at the sections: painting and monumental art.
Constantin is begin in 1954 with a students’s exhibition.
He participated at 8 group exhibitions in country ( towns like: Călăraşi, Oradea, Bucharest, Constanta, Tulcea) and at 10 group exhibition abroad (Paris, Cagnes-sur-mer, Roma, Stockholm, Oslo, Sweden, Prague, Vienna, Sofia, Atena, Ankara, Moscow, London). He was present, since 1957 at 18 romanian selections in Europ, Asia, USA, Canada, South America.
He get himself noticed also in restoration, mural painting (the Church from “Valea Voievozilor” - Dâmbovita, a fragment from Cozia Church, the Church of ex-monastery Humor), an domain where he evinced an exemplary rigor and delicat insight in traceing the romanian feudal art values. For three decades he sustain a ceaseless didactic activity, being assistant, lecturer, universitary teacher and dean at the Academy of Fine Arts, Bucharest. Also, he impose himself like monumentalist through his mosaics made at Eforie Nord, Constanta (Municipal Hospital) and Târgovişte; through his fresco from Bucharest (Vitan Dispensary) and through his monumental tapestry “The People of the Earth”, realised with Maria Mihalache Blendea (Museum of Art, Buzau).
He was awarded with two silver medals at the International Exhibitions dedicated to Youth (Moscow, Vienna, in 1957 and 1959). In 1968 - he was also awarded with the Second Prize at Painting Section. The Honor Diploma of Decorative Art Quadrenal, Erfurt (1979). The Prize for monumental art of UAP (1980), The “Carravaggio” Prize (Roma, 1983) and The Prize “Ion Andreescu” conffered by Romanian Academy (1988).
