Dragan European Foundation is an organization at European level, legally founded in 1967 by Professor Iosif Constantin Dragan.
The purpose of the Foundation is to support the culture by promoting ideas, by researching in order to develop, through a better mutual knowledge, a spirit of collaboration, a union between nations, resulting in the formation of a European conscience. To realize the statutory purposes, Dragan European Foundation, throughout its existence, gave birth to many international activities: private universities (Dragan European University in Romania, Golden Age University in Milan, Italy), post graduate studies, editorial activities, cultural magazines (European Bulletin), Cybernetic Center and European Association for Bio-economy studies, collaboration with the Geo-archeological Association, the Center for Historical Research in Venice, Italy, the International Center for Tracic studies, CERMA (European Center for Applied Medical Research) Institute, organization of conferences and international symposiums on various cultural and scientific subjects: history, political science, culture, medicine, archeology, humanitarian law, international juridical cooperation, human science, dialogue between religions, bio-economy, and many others.
A new cultural initiative of Dragan European Foundation is the inauguration in April 2006 of an Art Gallery named \"VERONIKI ART\", having as purpose to reveal the value of the contemporary Romanian art.
The program of the Gallery is prepared in the same manner as any professional art gallery in the world. It consists in many types of activities, all having the purpose of acquainting the interested public with a good quality offer.
Dragan European Foundation presents its offer through personal or group exhibitions, opened monthly, based on a schedule prepared well in advance. The exhibitions are structured by themes, areas that represent an important problematic of the contemporary Romanian art.
Dragan European Foundation , through this cultural initiative, is considering a program to promote young artists, as well as recovering some of the works of artists that are no longer with us.
There is a strategy to attract visitors, to convince them and to give them the necessary materials to get to know, and become familiarized with the contemporary Romanian plastic art, each exhibition being accompanied by a catalogue that offers all the information.
Dragan European Foundation has chosen to place the gallery in a residential area, with financial potential, in an exhibition space remarkable in its elegance, which helps the visitor to relate the works with the intimacy of his/her own space.
